Uzbekistan U-17 Team Defeats Côte d’Ivoire (video)

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s under-17 national football team claimed a 2–0 victory over Côte d’Ivoire in their second friendly match during a training camp in the United Arab Emirates.

Muminhon Bakhodirkhonov opened the scoring in the 13th minute, while Kahramon Turgunov sealed the win with a goal in stoppage time (90+3rd minute). In the 74th minute, Uzbek goalkeeper Nematulloh Rustamjonov saved a penalty, keeping a clean sheet for his team.

The team’s next friendly match will take place on October 29 against Burkina Faso.

Uzbekistan’s U-17 squad is preparing for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar from 3 to 27 November. The team has been drawn into Group J, alongside Paraguay, Ireland, and Panama.
