Uzbekistan U-16 Defeats Afghanistan at CAFA 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan U-16 national team, led by head coach Ayder Kurbaev, secured its second victory at the CAFA U-17 Championship 2026.

In their second match of the competition, the Uzbek footballers faced the Afghanistan team and won with a score of 3:0. The scoring opened in the 9th minute with a goal by Emmanuel Emonkpaire.

Just two minutes later, Ulugbek Khayrullaev doubled the team's lead, and in the second minute of stoppage time in the second half, Kamoliddin Akbaraliev netted the third goal.

The next matches for the Uzbekistan national team are scheduled for 11 April against Turkmenistan and 13 April against Tajikistan.
