Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 8 November 2019, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov invited the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey, Mehmet Süreyya Er, to clarify the situation related to the death of Uzbek citizen Nodira Kodirova on 23 September 2019.

The ambassador expressed sincere regret over the tragic incident that led to the death of an Uzbek citizen, and noted that the relevant Turkish authorities are currently conducting a comprehensive and thorough investigation, studying all the circumstances of this case.

The ambassador assured that the investigation is carried out objectively, that the Uzbek side will be informed promptly and regularly about its progress and results.
