Uzbekistan, TÜGİAD Discuss Pharma Industry Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency Abdulla Azizov held a working meeting with representatives of the Turkish Young Businessmen Association TÜGİAD (Türkiye Genç İş İnsanları Derneği).
The parties discussed investment opportunities for the development of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector, with particular focus on localization of production, the introduction of modern technologies, and the expansion of industrial cooperation.
Representatives of Turkish business were presented with the country’s investment potential, including opportunities created within the “Bio Pharma City” pharmaceutical cluster, as well as tax and regulatory preferences available to foreign investors.
The Turkish side expressed strong interest in expanding its presence in the Uzbek market. In particular, LUK Botanik, a company specializing in the production of high-quality plant extracts and active ingredients for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and cosmetics industries, highlighted its adherence to GMP standards, use of advanced technologies such as supercritical fluid extraction (SFE), and active engagement in research and development.
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to deepen cooperation through joint projects in manufacturing, technology transfer, and investment in the pharmaceutical sector.
