During the meeting, the parties discussed the promising areas of the Uzbek-Spanish partnership in the field of tourism, focusing on such issues as expanding inter-agency cooperation and attracting Spanish experts in the field of tourism to work in the State Tourism Committee.
In particular, the sides reached an agreement on sending groups of Spanish experts in the field of tourism to Uzbekistan to study the state and develop recommendations for further diversification of the country’s tourism industry, as well as for conducting various master classes, trainings and seminars for employees of the country’s tourism industry and State Tourism Committee.
Along with this, the parties reached an agreement to attract a highly qualified tourism specialist from Spain to work in the structure of the State Committee for Tourism as a foreign adviser.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on concluding a program of cooperation between the two agencies for 2018-2020, which will be signed within the framework of the participation of the Uzbek delegation in the work of one of the largest tourist exhibitions in the world FITUR in January 2018 in Madrid, Spain.
