Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that he and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed issues of Uzbekistan’s participation in the work of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries.
The head of Uzbekistan added that Uzbekistan gave a positive response and the country’s flag will be flown in the organization’s office in Turkey.
Mirziyoyev said that Uzbekistan will participate in the meeting of the Council, which will be held in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).
The Turkic Council is an international organization uniting modern Turkic states, the main purpose of which is the development of all-round cooperation between member states. The Turkic Council was established on October 3, 2009 in Nakhichevan.
At the moment, the members of the Council are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
