The report said that Global Gateway (Latvia) and Association of markets of Ferghana region of Uzbekistan signed an agreement on export of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan to the CIS and EU states. The agreement was inked till the end of 2015.
The agreement between Global Gateway and Association of markets of Ferghana region of Uzbekistan will also improve import of medical and industrial equipment from the EU states to Uzbekistan.
Within the agreement, Global Gateway will help to export goods from Uzbekistan, including with customs procedures, legal assistance, logistic and financial issues.
The report noted that the volume of bilateral trade turnover between Latvia and Uzbekistan made up 51.9 million euros and Uzbekistan took the 39th place among international partners of Latvia in 2013.
