Uzbekistan to supply fruits, vegetables and textile for US$91.2m to Europe

Green Week Fair was held in Berlin (Germany) from 15 to 24 January 2016. Green Week is largest platform for demonstration of achievements in agriculture, livestock, horticulture and food production.

Uzbekistan was represented at the fair with the Association of Enterprises of Food Industry, Uzvinosanoat-holding, Uzdonmahsulot, several foreign trade companies, as well as Council of Farms and Farmers.

At the exhibition, Uzbekistan presented a wide range of fresh fruits, vegetables and melons, dried fruits, fat and wine products, spices, processed products of fruit and vegetables - juices, jams, various canned products, as well as products of the textile industry.

In the result of the exhibition, Uzbekistan signed the contracts and agreements for export of fruits, vegetables and textile products for US$91.2 million to the European states.

A presentation of economic and agriculture potential of Uzbekistan was held within the event on 19 January 2016. It was attended by over 120 representatives of German companies.

The participants were briefed about modern economic development of Uzbekistan, modernization of industrial enterprises, business climate, main directions of investment cooperation, industrial zones, etc.
