Uzbekistan to Stop Selling AI-80 Gasoline from 1 December
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 1 December 2025, the sale of AI-80 grade gasoline will be discontinued in Uzbekistan.
This measure is outlined in a presidential decree issued on November 18, aimed at tightening control over fuel sales and ensuring the population has access to higher-quality and more environmentally friendly gasoline.
The decree emphasizes that the complete phase-out of AI-80 gasoline will improve the ecological situation across the regions and raise overall fuel usage standards in the country.
The decree also includes several additional environmental and urban development initiatives:
A draft regulatory act will be prepared to establish 18 dendrological gardens and 15 botanical gardens throughout the country.
Contractors will be required to install background monitoring stations and online cameras at construction sites before work begins.
The Tashkent Urban Forestry Administration will be established.
Proposals will be developed to ensure stable natural gas supply to greenhouses in the capital and surrounding districts.
Restrictions on the movement of heavy vehicles will be introduced in Tashkent during peak hours.
Building design will now require mandatory consideration of wind direction and speed.
Decisions regarding the sanitary felling or preservation of trees and shrubs will be made collectively through voting, increasing the transparency of such procedures.
