Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan will regularly publish information on the use of the returned funds to the state budget of the assets of Gulnara Karimova. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice.

In May 2020, it was announced the return of Gulnara Karimova’s assets in the amount of US$10 million from France to Uzbekistan.

In particular, funds came from the sale of real estate in the Triplex residential complex in Paris, confiscated by a decision of the Paris City Court on 29 June 2019.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the funds were sent to the state budget and will be used in a general manner. It is planned to regularly provide information on the spending of funds returned to Uzbekistan.

The Justice Ministry noted that all negotiations and measures for the return of property are carried out officially in accordance with the legislation of Uzbekistan and international law.

The Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan are cooperating with a number of foreign countries, in particular the USA, Switzerland, France, Russia and Latvia, on the issue of returning the assets of Gulnara Karimova in the amount of more than US$1.3 billion.
