The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures on material-raw materials for construction, reconstruction and repair of automobile roads of general use” on 21 April 2014.
The document was adopted to ensure timely construction, reconstruction and repair of automobile roads of general use.
In line with the resolution, the decision was adopted to purchase 159,000 tonnes of road bitumen in 2014.
The bitumen will be delivered within the contract with Aria Petroleum (UK) LTD, signed on 28 June 2012, and 92,000 tonnes will be used in objects in 2014 and other 67,000 will be reserved for 2015.
The construction firms will pay for bitumen in national currency due to resources of the Republican Road Fund under the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.
