Uzbekistan to issue 8.2bn soums to support public organizations

This was announced at the session of parliamentary commission on management of resources of the Public Fund on Support of NGOs and other civil society institutes under Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

The funds will issued to hold grant contests titled “Healthy generation with great future” and about 46.3% of these funds will be used to finance the projects, Legislative Chamber Oliy Majlis said.

One of the directions of the grant contests is development of intellectual-creative of rural youth, strengthen interest of children to sport, especially women, promote healthy lifestyle, etc.

It also planned to hold contests directed at improving legal culture of population, cover democratic reforms and development of civil society.
