Uzbekistan to increase output of cement to 17 million tonnes a year

According to the company, Uzbekistan plans to increase the volume of cement production by 2 times in next five years – from 8.5 million tonnes to 17 million tonnes a year.

Uzstroymateriali reminded that an enterprise for production of cement with an annual capacity of 50,000 tonnes was launched in Andijan region. The cost of the project is US$3 million.

Zhomboy Cement (Zhomboy region of Samarkand region) commissioned capacities for production o cement with total cost of US$12 million. The annual capacity of the plant is 200,000 tonnes.

Now, in Uzbekistan, several projects are being implemented to set up cement production.
