Uzbekistan to import 330,000 tonnes of brown coal for population needs

The decision was adopted in line with the Cabinet of Ministers “On purchase of imported brown coal for needs of population of Uzbekistan in autumn-winter period of 2015-2016” from 16 October 2015.

The Government agreed with proposals of Uzbekugol and Uzbekiston Temir Yollari on signing agreement on purchase of imported brown coal on the best proposal without holding tender.

According to the resolution, 230,000 tonnes of brown coal will be purchased for realization to population of Uzbekistan and 100,000 tonnes for production of coal briquettes for autumn-winter period of 2015-2016.

The Uzbek Government provided tax and customs preferences to Uzbekiston Temir Yollari for imported brown coal.
