Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9-12 August 2022, for the first time in our country, the First Regional Forum of Labor Inspectors will be held with the participation of 60 experts from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Russia.
Labor inspection is an essential part of the labor regulation system, performing a fundamental function of applying and effectively enforcing labor laws.
The working conditions of inspectors play an important role in ensuring the overall quality of the work of an inspectorate. For about 175 years, inspectors around the world have been working to improve working conditions on many fronts.
In this regard, in order to increase the stability of the economy in Central Asia region, harmonize legislation in accordance with international standards, attract the necessary investments to increase the institutional capacity of labor inspectors, it is necessary to build a culture of interregional dialogue, exchange of best practices between Labor inspectorates, stimulate the development of solutions for common problems.
In this regard, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the support of the United Nations Development Program, organizes the First Regional Forum of State Labor Inspectors of Central Asia and Russia.
The main goal of the event is to strengthen cooperation in the region of Central Asia and Russia in the development and implementation of policies in the field of state supervision in the field of labor, increase the level of knowledge, efficiency and effectiveness of labor inspectors through training and exchange of experience.
Within the framework of the Forum, representatives of the State Labor Inspectorates of the participating countries will discuss issues related to the fundamental principles of the International Labor Organization, issues of migration legislation, the concept of zero injuries, the investigation of accidents at work, labor legislation in the field of agriculture, and trainings will be held aimed at personal and professional growth of a state labor inspector, emotional state management skills and much more.
As a result of the event, common approaches will be developed to introduce modern mechanisms for ensuring safe working conditions and protecting labor rights in the Central Asian region, including the development and strengthening of the legal and organizational potential of the Labor Inspectorate of our country.
In particular, the Forum will contribute to the formation of a community of young labor inspectors who are actively involved in the process of solving the most pressing problems in the field of protecting the labor rights of citizens and the interests of employers, as well as ensuring the safety, preservation of life, health and well-being of workers.
