Uzbekistan to Host Men’s FIFA Series 2026™
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — FIFA has announced that Uzbekistan will be one of the host countries for the men’s FIFA Series 2026™, scheduled during the international match window in March–April next year.
The event will give the national team an opportunity to compete against squads from different continents and gain valuable international experience beyond traditional confederations.
FIFA Series 2026 marks the first full-scale implementation of the initiative following the successful pilot edition in 2024. For the first time in the expanded format, a separate women’s series will be held, while the men’s series will include Australia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mauritius, Puerto Rico, Rwanda, and Uzbekistan.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized that the series creates opportunities for the development of players, coaches, and fans, while also promoting global football and cultural exchange.
Uzbekistan’s participation will allow the local national team and the country’s football community to strengthen their position on the international stage and gain experience competing against diverse playing styles and tactical approaches.
FIFA Series 2026 provides a platform for hosting significant international matches without overloading the national teams’ calendars, while ensuring technical growth and commercial opportunities for emerging football nations. The full list of participants for the women’s series will be announced in early 2026.
