Uzbekistan to hike electricity prices from 16 November
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Starting from 16 November 2018, Uzbekenergo will increase electricity tariffs in Uzbekistan, the company said in a statement.
Tariffs are increased according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 1 November 2018 No. 897 “On phased change of prices and tariffs for fuel and energy resources”.
According to Uzbekenergo, the cost of 1 kW / hour of electricity for residential consumers will increase from 228.6 soums to 250 soums. The growth rate is 9.3%.
At the same time, the cost of 1 kW / hour of electricity from 1 June 2019 will be 280 soums.
The tariff for 1 kWh of electricity for consumers of groups I and II is set at 331 soums from 16 November 2018 and 370 soums from 1 June 2019.
Domestic consumers living in apartment buildings and hostels, centrally equipped with electric cookers for food preparation in the prescribed manner, will pay 125 soums for 1 kW per hour of electricity from 16 November 2018 and 140 soums from 1 June 2019.
The last time electricity tariffs were raised in Uzbekistan in April 2018.
