Uzbekistan to face Jordan in knockout stage

Uzbekistan national team will face Jordan in the quarterfinal match of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2010 later this week.
The opponent of Uzbekistan was determined after final matches of Group B ended on Monday. Japan outplayed group outsiders Saudi Arabia with the score 5-0 and claimed top spot in the Group.
In the second match, Jordan national team handed defeat to Syria with the score 2-1 and ensured place in knockout stage.
On 21 January, Uzbekistan will play against Jordan, while hosts Qatar will face Japan in quarterfinal matches.
Uzbekistan defeated Qatar (2-0) and Kuwait (2-1) and played 2-2 draw with China in Group A to clinch top spot.
