Uzbekistan to export cherries to China
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the General Directorate for Quality Control, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China signed a Protocol on the phytosanitary requirement for the export of fresh cherries from Uzbekistan to China.
The Protocol states that sweet cherries exported from Uzbekistan to China should be produced in Tashkent, Samarkand, Namangan, Andijan and Ferghana regions, and comply with Chinese laws and regulations, sanitary and hygienic standards, and phytosanitary requirements, envisaged in the Protocol.
The document establishes procedures for cold processing for cherries from Uzbekistan.
