Uzbekistan to create new company in hydro energy sphere

Uzbek leader today visited Sardoba water reservoir.

President said that Uzbekistan develops farms and earn money. Sardoba water reservoir creates great opportunity in this direction for farmers, he said.

A mini hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 15 megawatts will be built in the Sardoba reservoir. The project will be implemented with the participation of Chinese companies.

President stressed that long-term measures are being prepared to develop alternative energy in our country, a new company is planned to be created in the field of hydropower.

A recreation area will be established on the territory adjoining to the reservoir. The presentation of promising projects, planned for implementation in the agricultural sphere, in Mirzaabad region was also held here.
