Uzbekistan to create company for organization of international bus passenger transportations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A specialized company is being established in Uzbekistan to organize international bus passenger transportation, primarily to Russia and Kazakhstan.

This decision was taken to ensure the safety of Uzbek citizens, who travel to foreign countries and to prevent road accidents along the road.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to ensure the security of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan during their departure on rransport from the Republic for temporary employment”.

The Uzbek Agency of Road and River Transport will hold 51% in new company, while National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity – 49%. NBU can realize a share in the statutory fund to other investors at market value.

In 2018, the company will acquire at least 100 passenger buses, which meet the requirements of international passenger transportation. The buses will be used in all regions of Uzbekistan.

In the future, an increase in the car fleet is expected due to refinanced loans of foreign banks under the state guarantee of Uzbekistan. The National Bank is to open a new credit line to the new company in the amount of US$20 million for a period of seven years with a refinancing bank margin of 0.5%.

The decree envisages the establishment in 2018 in the regions of road transport organizations and bus stations (bus stations) for organization of international bus routes, primarily to Russia and Kazakhstan, including attracting foreign investors. For these purposes, up to 10% of the means of exceeding the parameters of the local budget revenues will be directed.

The head of Uzbekistan instructed to strengthen pre-trip technical inspection of buses carrying out international transportations, directly on the territory of bus stations.

If necessary, video surveillance of buses can be established throughout the entire route.
