Uzbekistan to create a single electronic voter list
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 October, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to introduce modern information and communication technologies into the electoral process”.
The head of Uzbekistan approved introduction of an information system for managing the electoral process and using the Single Electronic Voter List (SEVL) into the electoral process throughout the country.
When forming the SEVL, single information is used on citizens-voters, addresses of their permanent and temporary residence in accordance with the information database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Single Register of Real Estate Objects and the Single Register of Addresses of Real Estate Objects.
The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan provides overall guidance and coordination of activities for the implementation of the Election Management System and the use of the EESI in all regions of the country.
In Uzbekistan, until 1 April 2019, it is planned to update the information on the addresses of permanent and temporary residence of citizens in information database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the binding of passport data to the cadastral number of the property.
By 1 April 2019, the inventory of real estate objects should be completed and the Single Register of Real Estate Objects and the Single Register of Addresses of Real Estate Objects should be formed.
