Uzbekistan to Compensate Part of Mortgage Down Payments for Experienced Healthcare Workers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has introduced a new housing benefit for employees in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, under which the state will partially compensate the initial down payment on mortgage loans for specialists with long professional experience.

According to the approved procedure, the support will be provided to 500 medical and pharmaceutical workers who have at least 15 years of service in public healthcare institutions.

For this category of specialists, 25% of the mortgage down payment will be covered by state funds.

The authorities emphasize that the measure is aimed at strengthening the social protection of healthcare personnel and increasing their motivation to continue long-term and stable employment within the public healthcare system.

The benefit came into force on 1 January 2026.
