Uzbekistan to Build US$350M Electric Vehicle Plant in Bukhara

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new factory for the production of electric and hybrid vehicles is planned in the Kagan district of Bukhara region, with total investments amounting to US$350 million, according to the results of a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The plant is expected to have an annual production capacity of 80,000 vehicles. The project will create approximately 500 new jobs, positively impacting the economic development of the region.

This initiative is part of Uzbekistan’s strategy to promote sustainable transport and attract foreign investment to the industrial sector.
