Uzbekistan to Build Spectacular Musical Fountain in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the project for a musical fountain complex in New Tashkent.

The creation of modern public spaces is a priority for fostering a comfortable urban environment, attracting residents and tourists, and enhancing the cultural and leisure potential of the capital.

The complex will cover approximately eight hectares, with a water surface of 6.3 hectares. The area dedicated to the water, music, and light shows will span 1.5 hectares. The project includes a super fountain with a jet reaching up to 232 meters and a floating platform 100 meters in diameter.

The fountain complex will be able to form a circular water screen with a radius of 185 meters, allowing 360-degree image projections. The design will also feature laser beams, dynamic water compositions, and visual effects. Technical equipment, including pumps, electrical systems, and laser projectors, will be housed in an underground two-story structure.

Green spaces and service facilities will surround the water area. The project is intended to become a new landmark of New Tashkent, enhance the city’s architectural landscape, and provide a modern venue for cultural events, festivals, and celebratory shows.

President Mirziyoyev paid close attention to the project’s concept, technical solutions, and landscaping of the surrounding area. Special focus was given to organizing retail, gastronomy, and service facilities for visitors, as well as hosting spectacular events this year timed for Independence Day celebrations.
