Uzbekistan to Begin Accepting Applications for Mortgage Subsidies from 2 October
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan will start accepting applications for mortgage subsidies on 2 October, the Ministry of Economy and Finance announced.
The decision to expand the program was formalized by a presidential decree issued by Shavkat Mirziyoyev on February 21, 2025, which increased the quota for subsidies by 1.5 times—to 30,000 applicants—allocating 2.5 trillion soums for this purpose.
Applications will be accepted from 9:00 a.m., both through public service centers and electronically via the my.gov.uz portal or the MyGov mobile application. To qualify for a subsidy, applicants must score at least 30 points according to social criteria.
The updated evaluation criteria, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in November 2024, set allowable incomes from 2.7 to 9.2 minimum wages in Tashkent (approximately 3.431 to 11.693 million soums) and from 2.7 to 8 minimum wages (3.431 to 10.16 million soums) in other regions. Ownership of a residential property by the applicant or their spouse is grounds for rejection.
Priority for subsidies will be given to labor migrants, youth under 30, divorced women and single mothers, medical workers, technical college instructors in engineering fields, specialists in remote areas, and persons with disabilities.
