Uzbekistan to attract US$600m ADB loan to road reconstruction

The funds will be attracted in the second half of 2014. The loan will be issued in three tranches and allocated by the end of the 2016.

The financial resources will be used to complete construction of A-380 and A373 highways, which link Central Asian countries with Russia and China.

RIA Novosti reported representative of Republican Road Fund that the organization will complete project documentation on the programme of third loan package, which will speed up reconstruction of roads.

Currently, Uzbekistan attract loans for US$1.1 billion from the ADB to construction of automobile roads.

They were directed to reconstruction of various parts of automobile roads Guzar-Bukhara-Nukus-Beinau (A-380) and Tashkent-Andijan (A-373) with total length of 450 km.
