Uzbekistan to allocate US$45 million for the project to build a power line "Surkhan - Puli-Khumri"
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will send US$45 million to implement the project on construction of a Surkhan - Puli-Khumri transmission line. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Republic Abdulla Aripov at a meeting with the head of the Afghan executive Abdullah Abdullah in Mazar-i-Sharif.
According to TOLOnews, during the meeting, the parties discussed economic relations between the two countries.
Abdulla Aripov noted that Uzbekistan will allocate US$45 million to the power line from Surkhan in Uzbekistan to Pul-i-Khumri. The length of the line will be about 200 km. The project cost is US$110 million.
The Head of the Government of Uzbekistan noted that Uzbekistan is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in the field of trade, agriculture, electric power, railway transport, gas industry, and investments.
