Uzbekistan to adopt state program “Contemporary School”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to adopt a state program “Contemporary School”.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On additional measures to improve the system of public education management” on 5 September 2018.
Uzbek President instructed to draft a presidential decree “On the approval of the State Program “Contemporary School” by 1 January 2019.
According to the document, schools in Uzbekistan will be built on the basis of standard projects, using environmentally friendly materials and alternative energy sources.
Schools will also be equipped with new ergonomic furniture, educational and laboratory equipment, textbooks and teaching materials, computer and multimedia equipment, video surveillance systems, including inside classrooms.
The document also instructed to optimize curricula and programs, as well as expand innovative teaching methods, including distance learning.
