Uzbekistan team to take part in international robotics tournament

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 26 September, the national team of Uzbekistan, headed by representatives of the Ministry of Innovative Development, left for the Republic of Korea to participate in the International Championship of Robotics (International Grand D challenge 2019). It will be held on 28-30 September in the city of DonHe (South Korea).

Across the republic, 11 gifted children aged 12 to 18 years old, who took an active part in various competitions, were selected. These are children from Navoi, Kharezm, Andijan, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, Tashkent region and the city of Tashkent.

Today, the Scientific-Practical Center for the Implementation of Innovation Developments under the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan is actively cooperating with the International Olympic Committee on Robotics (International Robot Olympiad Committee, IROC). Within the framework of the International Innovation Week “InnoWeek.uz” - 2018, the parties entered into a cooperation agreement with the further signing of the Memorandum in Manila (Philippines). In accordance with the provisions of the memorandum, the Center receives the right to hold a regional competition of the Committee of the International Olympiad on Robotics “IROC”, ensures the selection of the national team of Uzbekistan and its participation in the international Olympiad, and also receives the right to hold in the future the international Olympiad “IROC” in Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that robotics today is one of the most dynamically developing areas of industry. The main goal of participating in this project is to increase the image of Uzbekistan in the field of robotics, establish mutually beneficial partnerships, attract international partners for the upcoming InnoWeek.uz innovative week, and also popularize robotics in Uzbekistan.
