Uzbekistan Takes Second Place at International Space Hackathon

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s team made its debut at the international space hackathon Act In Space and secured second place. The national stage of the competition was organized by Uzcosmos, with students from the Turin Polytechnic University representing the NazarX team emerging as winners.

At the international final held in Bordeaux, France, the team presented a modular satellite project. The competition brought together 391 teams from 23 countries.

During the first day, semifinal rounds were held, where teams were grouped to present their projects to an international jury. Uzbekistan’s team competed against participants from Taiwan, France, Kazakhstan, and Morocco, with only the top team from each group advancing.

Following the semifinals, the Uzbek team led its group and advanced to the final stage, where it competed among the top six teams. Ultimately, the team secured second place overall.

The achievement highlights the strong potential of Uzbekistan’s youth in space technologies, engineering, and innovation, as well as growing interest in developing the national space sector and international cooperation.

Participation in such initiatives contributes to shaping a new generation of specialists capable of representing the country on the global technological stage.
