Uzbekistan takes part in the SCO business forum
Representatives of the business council of 8 countries, which are members of the SCO - India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan take part in the forum.
The main topic of the forum was the promotion of business development, including business ties between the SCO member countries.
The Forum was held in the form of two plenary sessions, which were devoted to creating a platform for linking strategies, promoting cooperation in the field of interconnection, as well as promoting trade and investment facilitation, promoting innovation and the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
The delegates examined the regional peculiarities of small business development and the most promising niches for entrepreneurs. The countries assessed the role of small business in the economy of various states.
The delegation of Uzbekistan was represented by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Adham Ikramov. In his speech, the head of the CCI noted that today the business entities of the SCO countries participate in the activities of many new industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan, joint projects in the oil and gas, telecommunications, transport, textile, tourism, construction, chemical and other sectors are successfully implemented.
"We attach high priority to the further strengthening of the multifaceted trade, economic, investment and financial cooperation with the SCO member countries.
He said that in this regard, we are optimistic about the concept of "One Belt, One Way", the implementation of which, from our point of view, will create favorable conditions for the further development of cooperation in the region. He stressed: “In our opinion, implementation of this project is called upon to play an important role in further expansion of economic cooperation, creation of more favorable conditions for trade and investment, development of transport and communication infrastructure, partnership in agriculture, tourism, education and culture.”
“We support such areas of this project as the creation of joint infrastructures, industrial investments, development of resources, trade and economic cooperation, environmental protection,” Ikramov said.
The Forum is held on the eve of the SCO summit. Today, it is also planned to hold a meeting of the Board of the SCO Business Council.
