Uzbekistan takes 60th place in World Happiness ranking
The UN Sustainable Solutions Network published the report and the ranking of the happiest countries of the world.
The ranking includes 156 countries of the world. Specialists in economy, psychology, statistics and other sectors of science participated at the process of the report development. Six key variables explain three-quarters of the variation in annual national average scores over time and among countries. These six factors include: real GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy, having someone to count on, perceived freedom to make life choices, freedom from corruption, and generosity.
According to the ranking, Uzbekistan claimed the 60th place among 156 countries with index of 5.623. At the same time, in line with the report, the happiness level rose by 0.39 points in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan is placed ahead of such countries as Belarus (66th place), Russia (68), Turkey (77), Portugal (85), Ukraine (87), Romania (90) and China (93). Turkmenistan was on 59th place and Kazakhstan on 57th place.
Denmark topped the ranking. Norway, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Sweden followed the Denmark. The United States was placed to the 17th place in ranking and Great Britain was on 22nd place.
