Delegations of Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan participated in the meeting, which took place in Budapest. The meeting was held on the initiative of Hungary.
The meeting participants discussed the state and prospects of cooperation in various fields, both bilaterally and in the interregional.
During the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan advocates the building up of mutually beneficial and fruitful ties with the states of the "Visegrad Group", taking into account the economic, intellectual and scientific and technical capabilities available to the parties.
The participants of the meeting were acquainted with the main provisions of extensive political agenda put forward by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on carrying out large-scale reforms and profound transformations in the country, strengthening ties with foreign partners, primarily with the Central Asian states, providing security in the region against the backdrop of a multi-year Afghan problem.
At the forum, delegations in general supported the new format of interregional interaction.
On the same day, the heads of delegations, who took part in the ministerial forum, were received by the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
