According to Sputnik agency, GS Engineering & Construction of South Korea is taking part in the preparation of project on modernization of Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex for US$570 million, while Samsung Engineering – in construction of the plan of pyrolysis petroleum with the cost of US$300 million.
Woo Tae-hee said that currently companies of two states are preparing projects to implementation in strategic sectors of economy of Uzbekistan for US$1.1 billion.
He said that Uzbekistan and South Korea reached agreement on development of about 50 projects in energy, oil and gas, mining, chemical and electrotechnical, automobile and telecommunication sectors in the result of International Investment Forum, which was held in Tashkent.
