Representatives of ministries and departments, companies from Uzbekistan and South Korea participated in the work of the forum.
Within the event, the participants familiarized with wide-scale reforms in Uzbekistan, measures on supporting small and private businesses, sustainable development of financial system, as well as preferences in industrial zones Navoi, Angren, and Jizzakh.
The sides exchanged opinion on current state and perspectives of interaction between Uzbekistan and South Korea in such spheres as transport and logistics, gas industry, export of processed agriculture products, expanding and strengthening contacts in these directions.
Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and South Korea exceeded US$2.1 billion in 2013.
Currently, there are 420 joint ventures in Uzbekistan with South Korean capital. About 80 South Korean companies have their representative offices in Uzbekistan.
They work in such spheres as trade, light and textile industries, metallurgy, chemical and food industries, machinery, tourism, healthcare and others.
