Uzbekistan Simplifies Work for Private Forensic Experts and Introduces Online Registration for Organizations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved new regulations aimed at simplifying the activities of private forensic expert organizations.
Resolution No. 73, dated 20 February 2026, establishes the framework for the operation of such organizations, the procedure for state registration, the retraining and professional development of private experts, as well as their inclusion in the Unified Register of Individuals with Verified Professional Competence.
The document allows organizations to operate either as non-profit entities or as individual forensic expert bureaus. Previously, establishing a private forensic organization required a minimum of three experts. Registration is now carried out through an automated system, significantly streamlining the process.
The resolution also defines the structure of the educational process for training private forensic experts: 40% of study time is allocated to theoretical classes in state educational institutions, and 60% to practical training within state forensic organizations.
To ensure an objective assessment of professional qualifications and oversight of private experts, the regulations formalize the operation of the Expert Qualification Commission under the Ministry of Justice.
The document is intended to enhance transparency and efficiency in the work of private forensic expert organizations while supporting the development of qualified personnel in this sector.
