Uzbekistan Signs Memoranda on Cooperation in the Halal Products Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18–19 December, the prestigious international forum “Thailand Halal Assembly–2025” is taking place in Bangkok, dedicated to issues of halal product and service production and certification.
The event is attended by the director of the State Institution “Uzbek Scientific Testing and Quality Control Center” (Uztest).
The forum focuses on expanding international cooperation, exchanging experience, and achieving mutual recognition of halal certification systems. Within this framework, Uztest signed several memoranda of understanding with leading foreign organizations aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Agreements were concluded with Windsor Governance Consultancy, Shanghai Global Halal Certification Service, Islamic Council of South Africa Halaal Fund (Pty) Ltd, and the Japan Halal Foundation.
These agreements provide for joint work on conformity assessment to halal standards, certification, laboratory testing, professional training, and the implementation of international standards in the sector.
The signed memoranda establish a platform for expanding partnerships and strengthening Uzbekistan’s position in the global halal products market.
