The First International Fruit and Vegetable was held in Tashkent from 12 to 16 July 2016.
The agreements for export fruit and vegetable were signed with representatives of over 30 countries of the world, including Russia, USA, China, England, Germany, UAE, Japan, India and Turkey.
Within these agreements, Uzbekistan will export 2.4 million tonens of fruit and vegetables. At the same time, Uzbekistan will export 857,000 tonnes of fruits and vegetables for US$718 million in 2016.
According to Uzbekoziqovqatholding, about 27% of the contracted amount fell to share of vegetables, 25% - grapes, 20% - fruit, 17.6% - dried and processed products, 8.4% - legumes and 2% - melon.
At the fair, over 170 companies from all regions of Uzbekistan presented fruit and vegetable products.
Over 300 representatives of business circles of the USA, Great Britain, UAE, South Korea, Japan, Italy, France, Malaysia, India, Russia, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and other states attended the fair.
Within the fair, foreign guests visited enterprises, farms and gardens in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorzm, Jizzakh and other regions.
