Uzbekistan Shows Strong Performance in 2025 B-Ready Global Business Report
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The World Bank has released the results of its comprehensive 2025 Business Ready (B-Ready) study, which, for the first time, provided a detailed analysis of Uzbekistan’s performance.
According to the report, Uzbekistan scored 68.81 points overall, exceeding the global average by 8.7 points among the 101 countries evaluated. This result underscores the country’s status as a dynamically developing economy with a business climate above the global average.
Uzbekistan received particular recognition in the “Market Entry” category, where an impressive 90.73 points placed the country among the world’s leading nations.
The majority of key areas, including business location selection (77.83 points), taxation (70.67 points), and utility provision (75.66 points), positioned the country in the second tier of nations.
Similarly high rankings in the second tier were achieved in workforce development (70.46), financial services (74.25), international trade (64.89), and the efficiency of commercial dispute resolution (60.66), consistently outperforming global averages.
Despite the overall positive evaluation, the report highlights potential areas for improvement, notably market competition and bankruptcy procedures, where current scores of 52.77 and 50.18 points place Uzbekistan in the third tier.
The new B-Ready methodology, which replaces previous rankings, emphasizes not only laws but also their practical implementation, taking into account digitalization and environmental sustainability.
As the study’s coverage expands to 179 countries by 2027, Uzbekistan’s current achievements are expected to serve as a strong signal to international investors of the country’s market openness and reliability.
