Uzbekistan Showcases Mining Industry Projects to Slovenian Investors
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 November 2025, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, participated in a roundtable with representatives of Slovenia’s geology and mineral resources sector in Ljubljana.
The meeting focused on reforms aimed at improving the investment climate in Uzbekistan, including the updated Subsoil Code, which ensures transparency in procedures and aligns with modern environmental safety standards.
Participants discussed the country’s potential in the rare earth elements segment, which is in demand across various industrial sectors and green energy technologies. It was emphasized that Uzbekistan is interested not only in raw material extraction but also in implementing joint projects for processing these resources and producing high value-added products.
Slovenian companies were presented with promising investment projects, and the minister expressed confidence that combining Slovenia’s technological capabilities with Uzbekistan’s resource base would create sustainable supply chains and open new opportunities for industrial cooperation between the two countries.
