Uzbekistan Senate Hosts First Meeting of Inter-Parliamentary Commission with Tajikistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 September, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan held the first meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission for Cooperation with the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan in an online format.

During the meeting, participants emphasized that inter-parliamentary dialogue is an important tool for strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across various sectors.

It was noted that the activities of the Commission will serve as a significant step towards further deepening interaction between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, as well as in the implementation of joint initiatives.

Special attention was given to the need for parliamentary oversight of the implementation of agreements reached and documents signed, as well as to the strengthening of relations between the two countries at all levels.
