Uzbekistan Secures Seasonal Jobs for Workers in US

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency has reached an agreement on the organized deployment of citizens for seasonal work in the United States. The corresponding deal was signed with USA Farm Labor, the agency’s press service said.

The negotiations were held online between the agency’s director Bekhzod Musaev and the head of the American organization Manuel Fick. The talks focused on engaging Uzbek citizens in agricultural work under the H-2A visa program.

During the discussions, the parties agreed on the selection process for candidates and the terms of employment. Under the agreement, participants will be able to work in the United States for 9–10 months with a monthly salary of around US$3,500. Employers will provide accommodation for seasonal workers, while priority in recruitment will be given to qualified specialists.

Both sides expressed readiness to proceed with the next stages of cooperation in the near future.
