In Uzbekistan, the issue of providing the population with masks has become a priority. The Republican Commission, on behalf of the President of the country, brought the daily production volume of masks to 5 million pieces per day.

According to the Uztekstilprom Association, for the period of 18 May 2020 in the republic, the capacity for the production of protective masks was brought up to 10.8 million pieces / day, for overalls - 150 thousand pieces.

275 industry enterprises produce more than 6 million masks and 45 thousand pieces of overalls per day. At the same time, 1.7 million pieces of protective masks and 1.2 million pieces. dressing gowns were transferred as humanitarian aid, 13.4 million pieces of masks were sent for export.

The leaders in the production of masks are Namangan (36), Tashkent (29), Andijan (28), and Tashkent (24) regions. They account for over 75% of production.
