Uzbekistan, Russia Boost Higher Education Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Kongratbay Sharipov, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan, Alexey Yerkhov.
The parties emphasized the multifaceted nature of cooperation between the two countries in higher education, science, and innovation. A solid legal and regulatory framework has already been established, and joint activities continue to expand steadily.
During the talks, the sides discussed increasing academic mobility, the growing interest of Uzbek youth in studying at Russian universities, as well as improving the quality of educational programs and adapting them to labor market demands.
They also addressed issues related to further enhancing the operation of branches of Russian higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.
