Uzbekistan Registers 624,000 Rental Agreements Generating Nearly 1 Trillion Soums in Taxes

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Tax authorities in Uzbekistan have registered nearly 624,000 rental agreements, on which taxes totaling 957.6 billion soums have been assessed.

Of these, 445,100 agreements were concluded between individuals, generating 732.6 billion soums in income tax. Compared with the same period in 2024, the number of such agreements rose by 11.1%, while the amount of tax assessed increased by 50.8%.

For 178,700 agreements executed by legal entities, taxes of 225 billion soums were levied, reflecting a 13.5% increase in the number of contracts and a 21.6% increase in tax revenue compared to the previous year.

A special exemption applies to property owners who rent to students: income from such rentals is tax-free. From January to October, this exemption amounted to 50.4 billion soums.

More than 114,400 rental agreements have been signed with students, covering a total of 135,276 student tenants.
