Uzbekistan receives US$929 million of remittances from Russian in 3Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the third quarter of 2018, the volume of remittances of individuals transferred from Russia to Uzbekistan through payment systems made up US$929.1 million, according to data of the Central Bank of Russia.

According to the regulator, the average transfer amount from Russia to Uzbekistan in the reporting period was US$490.

At the same time, funds in the amount of US$35 million were sent from Uzbekistan to Russia in the third quarter of 2018. The average transfer amount from Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation was US$1,149.

In the first quarter of 2018, the amount of remittances of individuals transferred from Russia to Uzbekistan amounted to US$726 million. In the second quarter of 2018 the volume of remittances of individuals transferred from Russia to Uzbekistan through payment systems was US$748.8 million.
