Uzbekistan receives US$748.8 million of remittances in 2Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the second quarter of 2018, the volume of remittances of individuals, transferred from Russia to Uzbekistan through payment systems, made up US$748.8 million, according to the Central Bank of Russia.

According to the regulator, the average amount of remittance from Russia to Uzbekistan in the reporting period was US$425.

At the same time, funds for US$32 million were sent from Uzbekistan to Russia in the second quarter of 2018. The average amount of remittances from Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation was US$914.

According to the Central Bank of Russia, total volume of cross-border transfers from Russia to Uzbekistan in the second quarter of 2018 exceeded US$1.07 billion and from Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation - US$95 million.
