Uzbekistan receives money transfers for US$726m from Russia in 1Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of remittances from individuals, transferred from Russia to Uzbekistan, reached US$726 million in the first quarter of 2018, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said in a statement.

According to the regulator, the average transfer size from Russia to Uzbekistan made up US$314.

Residents of the Russian Federation sent remittances to Uzbekistan for US$200 million. Their average transfer size was US$216.

Non-residents sent US$525 million to Uzbekistan, while the average amount of one transfer was US$380.

The volume of remittances via money transfer systems from Russia to Uzbekistan made up US$489 million and from Uzbekistan to Russia – US$31.1 million.
