Uzbekistan receives applications for electronic visa from 530 foreigners within 4 days

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan received 534 applications from citizens of 35 countries within four days starting from the day of the launch of the system for registering and issuing electronic entry visas - e-visa.gov.uz.

The largest number of applications came from citizens of China - 100, the United States - 82, Britain - 54, Poland - 43 and India - 39.

At the same time, the Government of Uzbekistan issued 265 visas, and 269 applications are under review.

The e-visa.gov.uz system was launched on 15 July. Citizens, arriving in Uzbekistan for tourist purposes from countries for which a simplified procedure for issuing a visa is established, can use the system.

The application is considered within two working days. The electronic visa is issued for a single stay in the territory of Uzbekistan for a period of 30 days. It is valid for 90 days.

An electronic visa is sent to an e-mail address, when crossing the border, it is enough to submit a visa in paper or electronic form.
